Q. Do you publish all books submitted to you?
A. Not every book is suitable for Torchflame Books but we are able to publish many books that have a smaller and more highly focused market segment because we keep our production costs to a minimum.
Q. Is this self-publishing?
A. No, Torchflame is neither self-publishing nor vanity publishing. This is a hybrid publishing model wherein we work closely with our authors sharing production costs and sales profits.
Q. How long does it take to publish a book?
A. If you provide a standard formatted manuscript it would usually take 8 to 12 weeks.

A. Yes, we format and typeset all manuscripts for printing.
Q. Do you create cover designs?
A. Yes, we will work with you to create a stunning cover for your book.
Q. Do you publish ebooks?
A. Yes, we do publish ebooks. We normally publish both print and ebooks of all titles.
Q. Do you provide an ISBN and barcode?
A. Yes, we will provide you with an ISBN and barcode for your book and also for your ebook if you wish to publish electronically.
Q. Do I get a proof of my book before it is printed?
A. Yes. You will be provided one or more proofs before printing.
Q. Do I get an author discount on books?
A. Yes. You will be entitled to substantial author discounts which vary according to quantity.
Q. What does it cost?
A. As a Torchflame Author you share production costs and sales profits. If your manuscript is in a standard computer format such as MS Word then your share of production costs for your Torchflame book, including layout and cover design will be $550 including both print and ebook editions.
Q. What will my royalties be?
A. You will receive 50% of the royalties from books we sell for you and 100% of the royalties from books you sell yourself. The amount will depend on the size of the book and the sales price. As an example, a 200 page 5.5"x8.5" book which retails for $16.95 will net you a royalty of $3.14 from books we sell for you and $10 on books you sell yourself. (The wholesale royalty is less than half of the retail royalty because of the wholesale discount we must give to bookstores.)
Q. Do you own the rights to my book if you publish it?
A. No, you maintain full rights to your book. You must grant us sale and distribution rights for three years.
Q. Will I be given a contract?
A. Yes, if we accpet your book for publication we will give you a detailed contract.
